Edit 20th Arrondissement – Belleville and Menilmontant
Metro: Pere-Lachaise A working class neighbourhood east of the city, the area is becoming slowly gentrified and offers visitors a mix of cultures. Belleville has the largest Chinatown in Paris while Menilmontant is known for its nightclubs and cheap drinking establishments. In between the two districts is the most visited cemetery in western Europe, the Pere-Lachaise. Visited most famously by fans of 60’s rock-poet Jim Morrison, who died an untimely death in Paris, the cemetery is also the resting place of Frederic Chopin, Honore Balzac and Oscar Wilde.
