The “publisher’s row” of the Yiddish newspaper business, five Yiddish dailies were once published on this stretch of East Broadway. The most imposing façade of the street is that belonging to the “Daily Forward” building. A soaring structure with ornate embellishments, it is one of the most impressive buildings of the Lower East Side. Still published on a weekly basis, the “Daily Forward” is now also published in English.
